Sex + Love = Pressure to Do Something Sexual

During most of my marriage I had a false sense of reality about sex and love.  I believed to receive love I had to do something sexual.  I was always in a battle and always confused on how sex and love really went together.  This caused me great pain.  Can anyone else relate?

I know for me, in the past, the media was a role model to me for sex and love.  They glamorized sex and made it seem that a woman had to behave a certain way to get a man to love her.   I also felt pressure from my pornography addicted husband.  I tried many many times to be this sexual woman for my husband that I simply was not. You see, I thought if I behaved a certain way for him then I would eventually earn his love.  I would eventually be that number one girl in his life.  This was a total false sense of security and reality.

Thank goodness, this past year God has taken me through a healing season.  He has taught me the true meaning of sex and love.  I have learned that two people who truly love each other have the best sex ever and WITHOUT any pressure!

However, spouses…. to truly experience this true love one must be connected with the Creator of Love.  I encourage you to begin experiencing a true relationship with God.  Ask Him to help you discover true love and what it means to be truly loved.  I guarantee He will not let you down.  He will guide and direct you as you slowly fall in love with Him.  This love is like none other.  This love comes without any pressure or strings attached.  As you learn to connect deeply with Him, you will begin to learn what sex and love really equals – an intimate marriage free of pressure!
